NIMA, the Dutch Marketing Institute
NIMA is a marketing platform for professional marketers in the Netherlands. Around 3.000 NIMA members are active in offering ways to develop and professionalize the field of marketing and to inspire marketers.
To achieve this, the NIMA Association organizes events and seminars and offer NIMA Exams in marketing, sales, communication and market research.
NIMA events
NIMA organizes around 80 events a year for various marketing expert groups. Besides that, NIMA organizes congresses and seminars or participates in them. Every year we organize the NIMA Marketing Award. For an overview of the broad variety of events see the calendar.
NIMA-Exams
NIMA offers a wide range of exams in marketing, sales, communication and market research. Annually approximately 8.000 candidates sign up for a NIMA Exam. NIMA cooperates with training institutes that offer preparatory courses for the exams.
NIMA Top Brands
The Top Brands of NIMA include Registered Marketers (around 100 topmarketers, using the official title RM) and the Top Marketing Companies (top marketing organizations participate in this platform).
The Registered Marketers organize five (exclusive) events a year for their members. Annually about ten new Registered Marketers are appointed and receive their official certificate at the Societal Event.
The Top Marketing Companies gather three times a year to discuss best practices in marketing.
Membership and membership fees
NIMA has different membership types. There are two basic directions; an individual membership and a company membership. Within those directions there are special fees for different groups. Corporate fees depend on the company size and there are special offers for students, young marketers and teachers. NIMA has ca. 25 employees. Next to that many marketers are voluntarily involved in NIMA, in different committees of either the association or the exams.
Partner for international education and examination
Education & Training Centre of the Netherlands (ETCN) specializes in international educational programs in Central and Eastern Europe. ETCN is the main partner of NIMA in these regions. Based on years of experience ETCN developed, in close cooperation with NIMA, international NIMA-A and NIMA-B programs. The educational programs of ETCN distinguish themselves with tailor made educational programs for Central and Eastern Europe and with a competence based practical approach. The slogan of ETCN is “Put Knowledge into Practice” and that is exactly what we do in our NIMA programs.
