Role and responsibilities
In line with MasterCard’s business strategy and building on our customers’ strategy and needs, you are responsible for the implementation of marketing strategies and their specific programs targeting internal sales staff and bank/ retail customers (both in consumers & business segments). Besides the external contacts with banks, retailers and agencies, the Customer Marketing Leader works with the country sales team members and other internal cross-functional groups to design and implement specific marketing initiatives to increase revenue for bank customers and MasterCard.

Besides the external contacts with banks, retailers and agencies, the Customer Marketing Leader works with the country sales team members and other internal cross-functional groups to design and implement specific marketing initiatives to increase revenue for bank customers and MasterCard.
Key accountabilities of the role:
• Strategy implementation, marketing program ideation, program execution through to post market results tracking and analysis. Within this, responsible for providing marketing expertise with aim to provide the best customized solutions, which create long term value. Responsible for influencing the cardholders’ behavior of our customers’ portfolios to achieve MasterCard’s financials.
• Digital marketing program ideation (haalmeeruitjecard.nl), coordination and implementation
• Develop differentiating marketing activities for measurable benefit to the bank customer and MasterCard. As such:
• Develop tailored (merchant) marketing/partnership programs to increase MasterCard card issuance and usage. These activities include start-up and co-ordination of all the related activities (incentives, relationship, communication)
• Develop below-the-line promotions, targeting the consumer/cardholder
• Leverage the sponsorship platform (PR and promotions)
• Manage agency relationships and efficiencies
• Application and customization of MasterCard assets (consumer intelligence, brand, and other MasterCard marketing assets including but not limited to sponsorships and promotions) to address customers' stated business needs and bank customer’ business opportunities.
• Translate & implement ATL MasterCard campaigns to customers level
• Development of superior knowledge and marketing intelligence to develop valued and differentiating programs, establishing MasterCard as a customer’s preferred business resource.
Profile and key requirements
• As from 5 years up to a maximum of 8 years of marketing experience with a mix in B2B & B2C, preferably Brand and Digital marketing
• Expertise in (online & direct marketing) applications for customer acquisition, activation, usage, retention, ideally in Banks/Payments industry in the market
• Experience in account management, passionate about sales & maintenance/ development of relationships, customer management and interaction skills
• Demonstrate proven ability to develop and successfully implement, quantifiable marketing programs.
• Able to capture the commitment of people to achieve goals as well as overcoming obstacles and taking appropriate risks
• Energetic person with ability to make things happen, motivating others
• Creative thinker with a desire and tenacity to test innovative approaches
• Ability to turn qualitative & quantitative data and information analysis into actionable 'insights'
• Consultative selling experience with good negotiation skills
• Team player and achievement oriented, with a clear sense of urgency motivation.
• Good presenter, skills in writing decks & proposals
• Ability to work on his/her own based on agreed guidelines / objectives. Self driven person working as part of a team.
• Excellent skills in MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel
• Fluent in Dutch & English (verbal and writing)
• Flexible & dedicated, no 9 to 5 mentality
• Bachelor’s degree
