BESCHIKBARE DATA

40% of organisations currently advertising are seeking to make sustainability-based claims. Yet the majority of marketers lack any sustainability training and 49% of them fear they will be accused of ‘greenwashing’. As brands transition to more sustainable ways of operating and the definitions of corporate success broaden, it is essential that the marketing function is properly equipped for the journey. The decades-old foundations of marketing however, are purely aligned to commercial performance and increasingly not fit for purpose.

Trainers

Paul Randle and Alexis Eyre completed a Business Sustainability Management course in 2020 by the Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership (CISL) and left horrified by the new sustainability lens through which they now viewed marketing. Compelled to stay in marketing by the CISL lecturer team, they spent the subsequent two years researching the impacts of marketing and developing the Sustainable Marketing Compass (SMC) – a framework that embeds sustainability into the heart of marketing.
They now consult on sustainable marketing, helping organisations strengthen their capability and transition to sustainable marketing practices and are on a mission to re-orientate & reinvigorate the behaviour changing capabilities of Marketing.
