Manager Communication, QuTech

University Corporate Office – Department of Communication

The Netherlands occupies a unique position of expertise in the area of quantum computing. QuTech is its core, embedded in a broader ecosystem in the Netherlands and abroad. Within QuTech a path is being laid from pure academic research to a combination of scientific research and professional technology development. QuTech is organised into so-called Roadmaps, spearheaded by Roadmap Leaders: Fault-Tolerant Quantum Computing, Topological Quantum Computing, Quantum Internet and Computing, Shared Development, and the QuTech Academy. QuTech will grow from 180 to 300 FTE in the coming years. QuTech is led by a Scientific Director, a Business Development Director and an Operations Director. The working language is primarily English.

The TU Delft has a strong ambition to contribute to a sustainable 21st century by breaking through boundaries in technological research, by training engineers who work within our society and by partnering with businesses to translate knowledge into innovation. The Communication Department helps the university achieve these goals by keeping its 20.000 students and 4.500 employees informed and involved, together with businesses, policy makers, alumni, and of course high school students who want to study at the TU Delft. The Communication Department ensures the proper distribution of information, including within the organisation itself. We accomplish this with 150 communication employees—distributed across faculties, support services and a central department—who share a broad spectrum of communication resources and skills. The department has an open and pleasant atmosphere and is accustomed to working in a dynamic, young and international setting.
