YOU will join the evolving Reduced Risk Products (RRP) department within Philip Morris Benelux, for which the head office is based in Antwerp, Belgium.

You will support the development of the IQOS brand from a consumer standpoint, facilitating the company transformation by driving the cultural transformation from a brand-centric to a consumer-centric organization.

Job Purpose

The role of Retail Development Manager is a key position within the RRP Retail Department. As one of our newest commercial streams, our Retail channel sits in full development stage, with focus on the expansion of our bricks footprint along with the delivery of high quality consumer experiences across the channel.

Driven by the needs of our consumers, the Retail Development Manager supports the Head of RRP Retail in the development & implementation of a retail network strategy for the Netherlands and will play a vital role in the establishment of true omni-channel integration of our commercial streams.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Gain in-depth knowledge of the needs, behaviours and active territory of our consumers.
  • Outline our direct and indirect retail development and expansion strategy in cooperation with our Head of RRP Retail.
  • Manage and constantly assess our existing portfolio of stores/projects in order to improve the profitability of the Retail channel in the market. Provide continuous input for our short term strategy and propose actions for growth.
  • Collaborate with the teams in and out of your commercial stream to identify opportunities for omni-channel connections & implement high quality solutions for our consumers.
  • Tap into your broad retail experience to consult and contribute on various retail projects, such as new stores, the use of in-store branded materials, store activation projects, experience delivery optimization, etc.

Education, Experience & Desired Knowledge and Skills

  • Retail profile
  • Degree in Business, Economics, Marketing or similar
  • 5 years of retail development experience, ideally for premium experience brands
  • Experience in omni-channel strategies
  • Always committed to deliver work of the highest quality with a strong consumer focus
  • A forward leaning mindset
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Analytical skills for performance monitoring
  • Strategic thinker and intellectually curious
  • High level of flexibility and organizational agility
  • Fluency in English required
  • Computer skills Word, Excel, Power Point
